How to clean synthetic wigs:
1. Before cleaning the wig, put the wig upright, and gently comb the wig with a wooden comb (anti-static) with wide (sparse) hair teeth. Try to avoid using plastic combs or steel combs, which will generate too much static electricity, which will cause the hair to get knotted and hang up.
2. Then put the wig in warm water (about 20 degrees is better, not more than 25 degrees) soak for 5-10 minutes. The time should not be too long, avoid prolonged soaking, and avoid using high temperature hot water for cleaning. Excessive water temperature will easily damage the original curvature and style of the hair, cause the hair to fall off, and reduce the life of the wig. After all, the hair material of high-end wigs is real human hair, not those inferior synthetic wigs (such as high-temperature silk).
3. Then add a proper amount of shampoo in the water (if there is a special washing liquid for high-end wigs, it is better), and wash it by pressing. Note: wash by hand and never use a washing machine; do not scrub the wig hard.
4. After cleaning by pressing, change the water and rinse it with water; then add conditioner to the water, soak the wig for about 10 minutes, and then rinse it off with water.
5. Then use a soft and dry towel to gently press the wig to dry. Note: Never twist it by hand or use a washing machine to dry it.
6. Then place the washed wig on the special holder for the wig, and place it in a ventilated place indoors to allow the wig to dry naturally to avoid sun exposure; when the wig is 90% dry, comb it gently with a wooden comb.
7. For washed wigs, if you don’t need to wear them often, you should also spray a little (not too much) spray oil; or use a non-oily maintenance liquid for high-end wigs to better maintain the wig. After the wig is completely dried, cover the washed wig with a hair net and put it into a sealable plastic bag with good air permeability (the bag has a small round hole). If there is no such bag, you can also put it in Ordinary plastic bags, use a needle to pierce the bag with a few holes.
8. If the wig is not worn frequently, put the washed wig on a fixed wig holder, keep the original shape, and add a plastic cover to avoid dust and bacteria intrusion. Store it in a dry place and do not fold it.
